EUGENE, Ore. -- Willamalane put on their 23rd Haunted Hayride this weekend in a new way. This year families were able to take part in the fun, all from the comfort of their own car.

Over 450 cars came to Dorris Ranch to see live performances, listen to music and get scared. During a typical year, a couple of thousand people stop by. But many attendees say it was a relief seeing fewer people this year.

"We're just excited because we get to spend time as a family. We get to be outside and enjoy the holiday without having to be around big crowds so it makes us feel a lot more comfortable," said Erinn Stevens.

Next Saturday, Willamalane is hosting a free drive-thru Halloween carnival at the Bob Keefer Center. Even though it's sold out, there's still time to get on the wait list.
