SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Free, temporary rescue shelters are now available at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center and the Bob Keefer Center for community members who have evacuated their homes or lost power.

"We have water, we have restrooms," said Willamalane community engagement manager Kenny Weigandet. "We have a safe place to be."

There is a capacity limit at both sites and social distancing requirements will be implemented. As of right now, Williamalane cannot offer showers but that can change as the situation is ongoing.

The Bob Keefer center parking lot is allowing RV parking, with limited spaces available.
