Willamalane's annual concert series welcomes community members this July

If you would like to attend, you can either reserve a pod in advance for up to four people online or bring $3 per person to the gate the night of the concert.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Willamalane's annual 'Sounds like Summer' series is back and ready to welcome community members to enjoy movies, concerts, handcrafted goods and more.

The 2021 series kicked off on July 7 with the Eugene-based band Left on Wilson.

Throughout July, the community can head over to Island Park in Springfield for the family-friendly events.

If you would like to attend, you can either reserve a pod in adavnce for up to four people online for $10 or bring $3 per person to the gate the night of the concert. In place of admission, community members can also donate commercially canned, boxed, or otherwise prepackaged foods to the gate. Kids under 12 are free.

The upcoming July 14 concert will feature the blues group FRET LOGIC from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Island Park Gallery artist Jan Sweeney will also be featured.

This year Sounds Like Summer will have a concession stand.

Pre-registration is not required to attend but space will be limited to 250 people.
