Race Recap: Cottage Grove and Willamette Speedways, July 7

Results from the July 4th holiday weekend at the Cottage Grove and Willamette Speedways.

Eugene, OR. -- Race fans from all across the Willamette Valley gathered at the Cottage Grove and Willamette speedways to watch drivers compete in several main events. And it was an entertaining set of races for the July 4th weekend.

At the Cottage Grove Speedway, Kinzer Cox takes the lead in the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints standings with 450 points. Cox is followed by Jake Weddell and Raquel Ivie in second and third place. Then Collen Winebarger pulls in front of the Mohawk Metal Modifieds overall points standings with 467 points. Bricen James and Nick Trenchard quickly followed in second and third.

Meanwhile at the Willamette Speedway, Rob Mayea won the super late models feature race. Thomas Hunziker and Craig Hanson finished in second and third. Then in the super sports race BJ Donifrio comes out on top. Trent Custer and Brian Winkler shortly followed.
