CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State Beavers Baseball team is back in Corvallis after winning the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The team flew into Portland and were taken to Pioneer Square in limos for a celebration with thousands of fans around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown was there to congratulate the team. Brown said she won a bet with Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, who now owes her six pounds of bacon.
The team arrived in Corvallis a bit after 5 p.m. to celebrate with a standing room only crowd in Goss Stadium.
Mike Parker, the voice of the Beavers, introduced every player and member of the staff, detailing each person’s contribution to the team’s run through the College World Series.
