The sun was shining on Saturday morning for the second day of preseason camp for Oregon and Oregon State football.

The Ducks are already adopting the 'next man up' mentality with the absense of safety Jamal Hill and cornerback DJ James. Players that stood on the secondary included freshman Dontae Manning and Jeffrey Bassa.

With a 12-game season, Oregon football is excited to dive into the comprehensive playbook of offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead.

In Corvallis, Oregon State quarterback Tristan Gebbia has recoved from his hamstring injury. He's competing for the starting job alongside Colorado transfer Sam Noyer and returning Beaver Chance Nolan.

Both teams are focusing on the execution of fundamentals since they can only wear helmets. Full-contact practices begin next week.
