Eugene, OR. -- The Oregon Ducks left their week one troubles back in Texas. Oregon cruised to a 77-6 victory over the Nevada Wolfpack Saturday in front of a loyal crowd of 50,920.

Oregon was faster, deeper, better coached and overall more dominant. Once the Ducks overcame some first quarter jitters, there was no denying there was a clear mismatch on the field. Oregon hung four unanswered touchdowns on Nevada in the final eight minutes of the first half.

Offensively, Oregon was dominant. Herbert threw for 310 yards and five touchdowns, including a 66-yard strike to tight end Jacob Breeland. The Ducks outgained Nevada 623 yards to 192.

The UO defense turned some heads as well. The Ducks had two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and racked up five sacks. Nevada had plays that started with promise, only to have the Ducks close fast and deliver some big time hits.

Oregon will try and continue the high level of play next week, as they host the Montana Grizzlies.
