Corvallis, OR -- Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith spoke to the media ahead of the team's game against Hawaii on Saturday.

Hawaii is coming off a thrilling, 45-38, win over the Wildcats.

"They got two more than capable quarterbacks to run that offense," Smith said. "They can run the ball too. It's not just all pass. That's been impressive to watch. Defensively they played really hard against Arizona, created a couple turnovers against Arizona."

OSU is the second of three teams Hawaii will be facing to open the season. Washington is the third.

Smith talked about limiting distractions that come with playing in a vacation destination

"I think our guys have been locked in," Smith said. "We talked about it early in the week of kind of going on a business trip. This is a great opportunity to play a good football team. We're going to a beautiful place but ultimately when kickoff starts we want to be prepared the best we could throughout the week. I think we've done that."

Oregon State and Hawaii kickoff at 9 p.m. PST Saturday at Aloha Stadium.
