CORVALLIS, Ore. -- When Oregon State women's basketball returned from their first COVID-19 pause in January, they faced a ranked opponent in Arizona.
It was a challenging opponent to go up against with just a few days of practice.
And it was a similar story on Saturday night. Returning to the court after another pause, Oregon State faced off against #5 Stanford at Gill Coliseum.
The two teams traded buckets through majority of the third quarter. The Cardinal went on to outscore Oregon State 23-6 in the final period. Stanford won its seventh straight meeting with Oregon State. 85 to 58 was the final score.
Taylor Jones recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Sasha Goforth led the Beavs with 16 points.
Oregon State returns to game play on Friday when they face USC on the road in Los Angeles.
