Eugene, OR-- Oregon football is feeling the pressure. With just a little under 11 days until the program makes its debut against the Auburn Tigers, coaches on defense are calling for a sense of urgency.

"We've still got a ways to go," said linebackers coach Ken Wilson. "We're playing hard, pr acting hard. They've still got some time to get better, but we're running out of it, so the urgency is picking up out there."

Now that urgency has already made its way into some other parts of the defense, beginning with improvements on the D-line.

"I thought our fundamentals took a step forward," D-line coach Joe Salave'a explained about today's scrimmages. "We got to continue to cultivate that and harness that and continue to demand that from our guys."

Although the Ducks are making adjustments on defense, the offense is still a question mark. Without wide-receiver Brenden Schooler, out with an ankle injury, and now Mycah Pittman, out with a shoulder injury, against the Tigers, it is still unknown as to who will fill their spots.
