Andrew Shipotofsky joined KEZI 9 News as a Meteorologist in April of 2018.
Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology with a minor in Communications from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
While in college, Andrew was a student athlete on the track team, running the 100m, 200m, and throwing the javelin. In addition to athletics, Andrew was the Sports Editor of the student newspaper, The Crimson.
Andrew got his start at WESH in Orlando, Florida, as a Weather Intern. Upon college graduation in December 2015, he spent three months as a freelance Weather Producer for ABC’s World News Tonight in Manhattan, New York. Andrew’s career then took him to KNBN in Rapid City, South Dakota, during the summer of 2015. While at KNBN, Andrew spent time as both weekend and morning Meteorologist.
Andrew is originally from of Sicklerville, New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia. While growing up in the Garden State, Andrew developed a love for weather, including forecasting powerful Nor’easters and hurricanes that would travel up the East Coast.
