can check their social media accounts for the the oregon duck football team is on a roll? winning their first two games of the season. but, not as many people are showing up for the games. attendance has been the lowest they've seen in the past five seasons. kezi nine news reporter brady wakayama is live in eugene to tell us about the recent decline. brady. matt, although the ducks are looking good on the field here at autzen stadium... we found not as many people have been sitting in the stands here... the last two saturdays. in 2014? which was the peak of the marcus mariota era? nearly 11? thousand fans attended the first two home games. for the games against bowling green and portland state there was only a little more than 9?thousand. and in 2016? the ducks streak of consecutive sellouts ended at 110 games over a 17 season span. i spoke to one duck fan who believes the lack of attendance is simply because not all students are in eugene yet. "i feel like at that point it's still summer, so a lot of people are traveling or they're at home and aren't here on campus. which is why attendance has been so low. but you can see it's significantly higher later on, right after school starts more people are here, more people can come." i reached out to the u of oh athletics department. they said quote "we have the best fans and gameday experience and in college football, and we look forward to a continued strong presence from duck fans this weekend and as we begin pa?12 play next week against stanford." so what are duck fans missing out on? coming up on kezi nine news at six hear from one fan who's gone to the games this season on what it's
