call like thi?hang up. this morning keri ricker, of churchill high schoo? was named oregon's teacher of the year. in making a difference.,. students...faculty... and administration filled the bleachers.... governor kate brown...superintend ent gustavo balderas...and the director of education colt gill were also in attendance. she was presented a 5,000 dollar check and was praised by many. they say some of her best qualities are her ability to ask hard questions....break down stereotypes...and her collaboration ricker, "what i realized by getting this award is that over the past eleven years or so that ive been teaching...ive dedicated my lives to try and make you and your fellow students your best selves but in the process... you in fact make me make all of us better...and that is what education is about." kate brown visited churchill in january and said she was blown away by her knowledge and creative approach to instruction. ricker says the hands on
