Local firefighters raise thousands to end blood cancer

The Corvallis Fire Department Stairclimb team raised nearly $33,000 for the 28th Annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

hurt. and i'm really happy from saving lives...to helping fund research that will do the same... two of the firefighters who were on that call friday -- were in seattle over the weekend for the 28th annual firefighter stair climb. the stair climb took place sunday at the columbia center. two-thousand firefighters from around the world climbed 69 flights of stairs -- in full gear.... it's all to raise money for the "leukemia and lymphoma society" that helps pay for rob, "as you're climbing, on all the different floors they have pictures and some are in honor of and some are in memory of. and it's half floors so there's over 140 pictures of people you're doing this for." and you can still
