satellite/radar: happening today, a climate strike taking place right here in eugene. u-o and high school students are planning to march and strike in solidarity with international action on climate change. kezi nine news reporter daijah peterson is live at the federal courthouse in eugenewhere students will end the march. bryan-- it starts today at 12-30 p-m at the university and they will march to the courthouse students from all over the world are protesting on climate change. --- demanding politicians to hear their voices. over 100 countries are scheduled to protest today and there are 1,659 climate strike events planned worldwide. how did this began? a teenager named (greh-tah) greta thunberg skipped school to protest outside of the swedish parliament last summer-- launching a global youth climate movement. students aren't the only ones protesting -- but also teachers. coming up at 5-30 see why educators are planning
