idea. today eugene city club met at the u-o baker center to talk about the many issues transgenders are faced with everyday. "bethany grace how" spoke about her personal journey as she transitioned and reminded the community why its difficult to be a transgender during this time. she says because there are many actions currently taking place in the government limiting the rights of those who choose to transition....they feel their community is under assault. but she says the howe, "you realize that so many of the things that maybe early in your life are because of you...im smarter...im indestructable...whatever it is....you realize its really not its a function of the people around you." she writes transgender related commentary for local papers and national publications. and helps people in the community understand a very misunderstood part of the population.
