guys it was truly an emotional show of support here at the eugene islamic center today. as worshipers came here to pray - dozens of people from all backgrounds came out to make sure the muslim community could mourn in peace. nat sound - praying a show of solidarity in eugene for the muslim community on friday. after a gunman opened fired on two mosques in new zeland killing at least 49 people. during afternoon prayer dozens of people from all faiths stood outside the eugene islamic center so worshipers could pray in peace. sot: mamadoudah ba/ worships at eugene islamic center "here is like a safe community people are very nice and we pray here and everyone is nice." muhyiddin (moo-ha- d) sultan who leads prayer at the mosque tells me he is in disbelief after the shooting. he says a friend of his called him worried about bringing his young daughter to worship sot: muhyiddin sultan/ eugene islamic center "it was really just shock it's not something you can think about just to see what's gone" sot: penny campbell / showed solidarity with muslim community "our lives are made better by having them here." but many in the community are standing by their muslim neighbors. penny cambell brought flowers and and words of love written yellow strips of cloth to the islamic center. she's worried that the same thing could happen here. sot: penny campbell / showed solidarity with muslim community "new zealand means it could happen anywhere. it means it's just right here, it could happen in eugene." after afternoon friday prayer, the supporters were invited inside the mosque where they all said prayer for the victims in new zealand. sot: muhyiddin sultan/ eugene islamic center as a muslim community, the eugene police department says in light of the attacks in new zealand, they are asking their officers to do more patrols around the islamic center and connect
