Managing a Diverse Forest for Oaks, Wildlife & Wildflowers
This springtime walking tour features a beautiful property and the story of how the Braz family successfully manages for wood, wildlife, water, and recreation.
As we walk through open oak woodlands and mixed conifer forest, we will hear from the landowners and local experts about restoration and forest management practices for both oaks and conifers, creating and maintaining wildlife habitat, managing for wildflower populations and other native plant enhancement practices, and effective ways to tackle pesky invasive species.
Along the way, we will identify birds by sight and call, as well as native plants. This is a tour you won’t want to miss!
Pre-Registration is required by April 16th
COST: $10/person or $15/family *no charge for UOP members - contact Alicia for discount code
