Police investigating assault of transgender woman near OSU campus

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Police are investigating the assault of a transgender woman near the Oregon State University campus.

The incident happened in the early hours of Oct. 24 at a 7-Eleven in the 700 block of NW Kings Boulevard.

In a statement on Twitter, university officials said, “OSU takes seriously reports of violence against a Corvallis community member and condemns violence of any kind. We will assist CPD investigation and confirm any student engagement.”

Corvallis Police Department said it is not sharing any additional details at this time as it is an open investigation.
