OSP identifies pedestrian killed on I-5 north of Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning on Interstate 5, north of Roseburg.

Oregon State Police troopers and emergency personnel responded to the crash near milepost 132 at 5:42 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge utility truck driven by Garry Davis, 57, of Roseburg, was traveling northbound when it hit a pedestrian walking in the travel lanes of the freeway.

The pedestrian died at the scene and was identified as Anika Jamison, 24, of Florence.

OSP was assisted by Sutherlin Police Department, Douglas County Fire District 2, ODOT and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Medical Examiner.
