Teen arrested after trespassing at Eugene school, police say

EUGENE, Ore. – A teenager who had a gun was arrested at Willamette High School on Tuesday after the end of the school day, police say.

Officers responded to the school at about 3:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a trespasser.

The teenager is not a student at the school, police confirmed. During the arrest, officers reportedly found the gun in the suspect’s pants pocket.

Police said the person faces charges of first-degree criminal trespass and unlawful possession of a firearm. They have been taken to the Serbu Juvenile Justice Center in Eugene.
