of Josephine and eastern Curry Counties Tuesday and Wednesday...
A strong, wet and cold low pressure system is expected to bring
heavy snow to much of Siskiyou County, especially the Mount
Shasta area, Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Heavy snow is
expected in Josephine and eastern Curry counties as well for
elevations above 1500 feet.

TO 4 AM PST WEDNESDAY ABOVE 1500 FEET...
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory above 1500 feet Tuesday
into Wednesday, snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches with
locally higher amounts at higher elevations. Winds gusting as
high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Central Douglas County including Azalea and Tiller,
portions of I-5 including Smith, Stage, and Canyon Creek
passes. Also included is a portion of route 227 at Tiller.
* WHEN...For the first Winter Weather Advisory, until 10 AM PST
this morning. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, from 10
AM Tuesday to 4 AM PST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow will be late Tuesday
afternoon into Tuesday night.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9
inches, with locally higher amounts up to 12 inches. Winds
gusting as high as 60 mph.
* WHERE...South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains
and Southern Oregon Cascades. This includes Mt. Ashland ski
area and highways 62, 230, and 138 near Diamond Lake.
* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 4 AM PST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...It is best to prepare for the expected
snowfall as soon as possible, as travel could be very
difficult. The heaviest snow will be Tuesday evening into
