...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST THIS EVENING FOR AREAS ABOVE 1500 FEET...

* WHAT...Light snow. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches between 1000 and 1500 feet, and 3 to 6 inches above 1500 feet.

* WHERE...Cascades and Cascade foothills of Lane County above 1500 feet.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

...Lower Elevation Snow expected Sunday... ...Heavy Snow Likely Across Much of Siskiyou County Tuesday Into Wednesday... .A front moving into the area Sunday combined with cold air will bring lower elevation snow. Snow levels are expected to begin around 1000 to 2000 feet, then rise during the afternoon to 2000 to 2500 feet, gradually lowering again Sunday evening. Snow accumulations are likely on roadways above 2000 feet for much of the area and down to 1500 feet in Douglas County and in the southern Rogue Valley in and near Ashland. West of the Cascades, for lower valley floors, periods of light snow or a rain-snow mix are possible Sunday, especially Sunday morning and again late Sunday evening and night. An even stronger, cold low pressure system is then likely to bring heavy snow to much of Siskiyou County, especially the Mount Shasta area, Tuesday into Wednesday. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING ABOVE 1500 FEET...

* WHERE...This includes Tiller, areas south of Canyonville including Azalea and Interstate 5 near Canyon Mountain Pass and Stage Road Pass, and areas above 1500 feet elevation in central Douglas County.

* WHEN...From 4 AM to 10 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult with slick and snow covered roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of light snow or a rain-snow mix are possible down to around lower valley floors at times Sunday morning and again Sunday night.
